With the effort to designate Lake St. Clair the sixth Great Lake losing steam, the Sterling Heights City Council decided to push for federal money to keep it clean and safe.

City Council was scheduled March 18 to consider a resolution to urge Congress to designate Lake St. Clair a Great Lake. Instead, council members unanimously passed a resolution endorsing efforts to protect the lake with money designated for the Great Lakes System. more-->
