Liz Wardley has seen the world from both ends now.  The pint-sized Australian has experienced the thrill of being a skipper, driving her own boat in two Sydney-Hobart races, winning her division at the tender age of 20. And yet, here she was, far from the wheel, hanging off the spinnaker pole at the opposite end of a Volvo 60 and soaking up every wet and wild second of it.

Wardley was inexplicably drawn to the bow on Amer Sports Too.  “I reckon it’s the best place on the boat - it’s just so exciting.  There’s something happening every minute,” the 22-year-old enthused. “You’re blown away by the power of it all.  You’re sitting on the deck trying to plug something in and the next minute you’re wrapped around the mast.  “And then you can just hang out on the end of the pole and watch the world go by.”  more...
