Officials aim to silence attacks by mute swans

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, a fowl menace has started stalking northern Indiana’s waterways, prompting officials to warn boaters and swimmers to be on the lookout for attacks.

I'm sure this will be contraversial, but mute swans are an exotic species and should be eliminated, simply from an ecological perspective. They are a significant threat to underwater grasses on the Chesapeake Bay, already in a precarious position. JQ, Frederick, Maryland6/8/2006 10:27:08 PM
