Free fishing weekend Saturday-Sunday in Michigan

Michigan holds its annual free fishing weekend Saturday and Sunday.

Michigan resident and nonresidents can fish without a license on these two days, the state Department of Natural Resources and Environment said Wednesday in its weekly fishing report.

The agency said all other regulations still apply. It says a list of statewide fishing events this weekend is available at www.michigan.gov/dnr   more...

Chicago Open 'B' Regatta win to reigning Canada’s Cup champion Bob Hughes. After a slow start Hughes peaked at the end to defeat Canfield and Mossman in first-to-two point Semi’s and Finals.

Hughes and his team of Torvar Mirsky, Michael Hestbaek‚ and Kyle Langford have claimed victory at the Chicago Match Race Center’s (CMRC) Chicago Open 'B' Regatta. This ISAF Grade 3 event was the second of two held here over 4-7 June, with eight teams competing in each.  more...
