MADISON, Wisc. - Anglers have already reeled in some Wisconsin state record fish for 2003, reflecting what Department of Natural Resources officials say is increasing public knowledge of records and an improved fishery statewide.
Recently, Shane Cassel of Tomah caught a state record white crappie in the Cranberry Marsh in Monroe County. Cassel's catch weighed in at 3 pounds 13.1 ounces and was 16.5 inches long. more...
