St. Clair Shores looks to boost Nautical Mile's status- Editor H2ONotes [ 7/19/2010 - 07:18 ] # By car or by boat, St. Clair Shores' signature Nautical Mile is targeted
to be Lake St. Clair's
destination location. City officials are working to make it easier to attract restaurants,
offices and shops to fill a handful of vacant spots on the Jefferson
strip between 9 Mile and 10 Mile. Meanwhile, the city's Tax Increment
Finance Authority (TIFA) and property owners on the lake side are
working on longer-term ideas to create a lively waterfront that would
lure boaters, such as improved marinas, an entertainment area, retail
shops, public space and enhancements to
Blossom Heath Park.
